Sam Bescoby

BVSc CertAVP (EP) (ESO) (ED) FHEA MRCVS
Equine Veterinary Dental Surgeon

After graduating from Bristol University, Sam worked in mixed practice for a year before completing an Internship in Equine Medicine and Surgery at Liverpool University’s equine teaching hospital. He remained there for 4 years as a lecturer and clinician in the University’s equine general practice.

In 2013 Sam and his family moved back down to the South West where he grew his dental caseload for a large private practice. This culminated in Sam being awarded an RCVS certificate in Equine Dentistry and qualifying as an Equine Dental Technician.

In 2017 he joined Bristol University’s equine teaching hospital. Interests in advanced dentistry and surgery of the equine head helped create a dental practice that saw horses referred to Sam from all over the South West and South Wales.

A vision of a small, independent and friendly practice has motivated Sam to return to the road, offering a highly professional routine and referral dental service with the latest mobile equipment alongside clinic facilities when required. In addition to his clinical work, he continues to lecture Veterinary Surgeons in the field of Equine Dentistry and acts as an examiner in the subject for both Veterinary Surgeons and Equine Dental Technicians.

In his spare time, he will be found outdoors with his family and assortment of animals – big and small.
